Road 6 Seminar
On the weekend of the 3-4/4 we wanted to learn about the problem of the road
6. During the first day we visited the construction site near the Kaasm Junction,
there we heard details about the road 6, like how
much
cost every junction, how it influences the area and so on. We spent the night
in Antiparos castle near Rosch Hayin. In the morning we went to examine the
area that the road will pass through, in the end of the trip we visited the
cave of Green Action movement, where the protest against building the road
takes place. In that place we also heard experts who talked about the road
6. After lunch we drove to Ben Schemen junction to see the first finished
junction and to get an impression of the area.
In this trip we learned about the road 6 and also how we can protest against things that we believe that are wrong and that we should even protest against things which seems to be already facts.
Thanks to Maza, Brother and Dembo that were taking care about the security and medical staff.
The Land Day
Re'ut-Sadaka participated in the march that took place in Earbe village to protest against discrimination of Arabs in Israel. As a result of this march the first channel of the israeli Television did a broadcast about Re'ut-Sadaka and the year for peace and coexistence. That broadcast was shown in the 3 of April at "Yoman", the most seen show in israeli television. The participants in the march came to share the feelings with Arabs in Israel and which was very important for the pupils in the movement.
Um el Sahali
After the clashes in the unrecognized village Um el Sahali, near Shfaram, a group of representatives from Re'ut-Sadaka visited the place where so called "illegal" houses have been knocked down. In the village we helped to build the houses again and also arranged a contribution of toilets and sinks for the new houses. At the village we showed support to the families that live there and demonstrated against discrimination during the visit of President Weizman.
Festival bus
During the Pasah holiday members of Re'ut-Sadaka, Green Action and Anonymous shared a bus that was moving between festivals all over Israel, that include Haifa, Misgav and the Dead Sea festivals. In those festivals we introduced our movement Re'ut-Sadaka to the youngsters which participated at the festivals. This tour included three goals: first of all to reach and inform a lot of youngsters about our movement and have fun all together while joining the festivals and third to learn more about the other two organizations during the tour.
